The Fuel Cost Calculator is supposed to provide a rough orientation about what a fair fuel cost participation could be. The amount is just a reference and is considered as an absolute fair price (minimum level). Anyway, the final price should be negotiated between driver and passenger before take off. In principle all is a matter for negotiation. Normally the estimated consumption is 10 litres per 100 km. The calculation is based on following formula: fuel cost plus 10% divided by number of persons
